Tandem paragliding

Pac Sports company from Bohinj is the most known company in Slovenia, performing Tandem Paragliding. Pac Sports organizes flights throughout the year all around Slovenia. During the summer period we fly in Bohinj area. There we organize Tandem Paragliding from 3 different locations: Vogar, Vogel and Studor.

The passenger fly with the professional instructor or tandem pilot, so previous experiences are not necessary. Our paragliding instructors will instruct the passenger, what to do at the take off and on the landing. If the guests want to fly with us, all they need are good walking shoes.

Tandem paragliding from Vogar or Sudor mountain

Both mountains are located on the North side of the lake Bohinj. The height difference from the take off and landing place is 500m. The decision from where to fly depends from the direction of the wind.

The flight will last round 10 min, although it is very difficult to predict the duration of flight, since that is mainly influenced by the weather condition.

Tandem paragliding from Vogel mountain

The flight from Vogel is considered as the most beautiful flight in the whole Slovenia with the marvellous view over the Julian Alps and the Triglav Mountain. The height difference from the take off and landing place is 1200 m, so the flight will be longer (cca. 20 min).

We will meet you at the parking lot by the lake Bohinj (guest house Kramar). From there we drive to the Vogel cable car. The chair lift brings us to the take off place.

Paragliding course

Pac Sports organizes beginning and advanced paragliding course. Anyone, who wishes to learn to fly paraglide, can join our lessons. In 5 days (25 hours) the participants will be able to fly by themselves or improve their flying abilities.

The Paragliding School provides all the necessary equipment; so all the participant need is a good pair of walking shoes and sport clothes. Pac Sports has English and German speaking teachers.

Beginning paragliding course

The beginning paragliding course lasts for 5 days. The practical lessons are completed in the morning (from 9 am until 12 am) and theoretical lessons two times in the evening hours. First day we begin on the flat area - learning to lift paraglide. Afterwards we move higher on a small hill for small flights (3-5m). Gradually the participants go higher and higher, so that the last day they finish with a flight from 200m high difference.

After 5 days of beginners course the participants are able to fly from a high mountain (more than 500 m high difference).

Advanced paragliding course

Advanced paragliding course includes 10 flights from a 1000 m high mountain Vogar or Studor (500 m high difference). During that course the participants fly under the supervision of at least 2 instructors. The participants have to make different maneuvers (big ears, B-stall, spiral...) and control the paraglide through making those maneuvers.

Accomodation

In case of a need of the accomodation during the course, Pac sports offers Bed & Breakfast in the Hostel Pod Voglom, where as the participants of the Paragliding course you are entitled to 15% disscount (accomodation).
